Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Croft: Page 1, following line 2: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Section 1. AS 08.64 is amended by adding a new section to read: Sec. 08.64.075. Designees. If this chapter authorizes a designee to perform a duty, the board may designate a single board member, the executive secretary, or another employee of the department." Page 1, line 3: Delete "Section" Insert "Sec." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Representative Croft moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Coghill: Page 4, line 15 and Page 4, line 18: Delete "misdemeanor" Insert "crime" 1999-05-17 House Journal Page 1518 SB 71 Representative Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that HCS CSSB 71(HES) am H be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Representative Berkowitz objected. The Speaker stated that HCS CSSB 71(HES) am H will be in third reading on the May 18, 1999, calendar.
